Today’s exhortation – God bless you!

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John‬ ‭1:2‬). I pray that God prospers you like He did Joseph and caused him to forget all his troubles so that he was fruitful. I believe that we can’t fully enjoy God’s blessings unless we are walking in forgiveness and we see that in Joseph’s life. After he was promoted, he got married and had two sons. He named his oldest Manasseh, which means, “making to forget.” Because God had caused him to forget all his sufferings at the hand of his brothers. The younger son he named Ephraim, which means “fruitfulness.” God had caused him to be fruitful in the land of his affliction.

The emotional healing came before the fruitfulness. Without inner healing, physical prosperity cannot be enjoyed. Had The Lord not done this for him, he would’ve still been in prison to his hurt and pain. We also see that it was God who made him forget his pain. Forgiving and forgetting are not things that can be achieved by human effort alone. It is God who makes it happen. Perhaps the reason why we struggle to forgive is because we’re trying to do it in our own strength. I pray that God makes you forget all your hurt and pain and heals the wounds in your soul so that you can become fruitful and enjoy the goodness of The Lord in Jesus name. Amen
