Today’s exhortation – The King of kings

Anything can happen when one goes before the King. Lives can be transformed, chains broken and freedom given. Debts can be cancelled, pardons granted and promotion given. Joseph went from a prison to a palace in a moment when he appeared before the king. All over the world today, many many people will be appearing before the King of kings. Now this King is different because He actually invites us to come to Him. We’re told, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬). This King is Jesus!

What’s more, He identifies with us. If you’re homeless, He has been homeless too. He said, “birds have nest and foxes have holes, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” If you’re sad, He knows how it feels, He was acquainted with sorrow. If you’re feeling lonely and abandoned, He knows how that feels too, His friends abandoned Him when He needed them and they even denied knowing Him. If you’re sick in your body, He can heal you and if you’re in any kind of trouble, He can save you. Today as you go before King Jesus, I pray that He changes your circumstance and lifts you up. Amen!
