Today’s exhortation – God is Sovereign

I believe where we’re today and what we’re going through now are all being sovereignly used by God to accomplish His purpose for our lives. The difficulties we may be facing today whether strife in our families, people’s hatred of us, their jealousy, evil intentions or lies against us are all used by God to fulfil His purpose for our lives. It Includes the chance encounters with people and the good and bad people in our lives. Looking at Joseph’s life again, we that all he went through (good & bad) were all used by God sovereignly to fulfil His purpose for him.

The strife in his family and his brothers jealousy and hatred of him; the lies that were told about him by his master’s wife that got him imprisoned; his coincidental meeting of Pharaoh’s butler in prison and becoming acquainted with him and even the part where the butler forgot to repay Joseph’s kindness by telling Pharaoh about him to get him out of prison were used. It’s also important to note that Joseph was neither bitter or angry at the injustice he faced. His reason was, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis‬ ‭50:20‬). Seeing this now, we can truly rejoice always and give thanks in all things. (1 Thessalonians 5:16,18). Our pain will be our gain! Amen!
