Be of GOOD courage

Joshua 1:9. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest??

Morning Christian Police I pray you are blessed.

Yesterday I experienced a particularly trying day, to say the least. All around me where fiery darts, I felt like I was in a ‘spiritual’ dodgems car, being shunted from all angles. After what seemed like the ‘enth attack’, I began to feel tearful but then the Word of God through The Holy Spirit, spoke to me “Sam, only be of good courage..” “The Lord my God is with me”. “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”. Songs of praises then came to lift my spirits “it soon be done, all troubles & trials when I get home on the other side”  & “Welcome to this place, we give to you our highest praise, welcome to this place”; “Guide me oh thy great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land, I am weak but though  art mighty, hold me with thy powerful hand, Strong Deliverer..” I found the presence of The Lord surround me & hug me. Eventually, the tears fell but with that came relief. God got me through the remainder of the day & I rejoiced in that The King in me, carried me.

In prayer meeting last night I was encouraged by the unity & strength of the saints on one accord, tearing down strongholds all around, on our knees. The word of God to Joshua return to me “only be of good courage“ & “Lo I am with you, even to the end of this world, amen” Final! The scripture left to bless my soul was Isaiah 61: v2 “to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;” confirmation that God has got me & will not let go. I thank Him for His mercy & grace.

Whatever it is & however terrible it may appear, I have to tell you, God IS here & I am – you are, more than a conquer because He loves us. I chose to re-group & speak The promised Word of God to my weary soul. Today, I encourage you, please don’t give up, even when everything appears lost, it is not so choose Christ & believe His word;He is the fourth Man in the Fire He is present in all we go through. I haven’t got the solutions to my issues yet but I know My Deliverer will make a way and the enemy is no match for my God! I must have faith, walk in faith, keep grounded & of good courage, in Him. Finally, to you all I say, look to the Lamb of God, only He alone can save us & Philippians 4:8. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

The Peace of God be with you this day, whilst not being ignorant of the enemies attack, keep your minds stayed on Jesus. Please ??for me as I do for you all,

God bless you,

Samantha?

About Samantha Alexander

I am a born again Christian and I attend The Refuge Church of The Living God, St. Mary's, Clissold Park, North London. I come from an extremely large Christian family, being one of 8 children,'sibling' to many foster children & I'm married to a gorgeous serving Officer. We share two wonderful, at times a handful?, extremely talented & sporty children. We are blessed by the laughter & joy they bring us. My role in the Met is within the Specialist Crime Directorate and I have been a Forensic Practitioner for the past 15years. I have overcome much adversity with my health & had it not been for Gods hand upon me, my faith & good support from my family & really beautiful colleagues, I would have given up long ago.
God has positioned me here for such a time as this & He has now opened this wonderful door to London Christian Police Family.
I love to laugh & encourage people around me & my joy definitely springs up when we can smile through our storms. May God ever bless you, Samantha?
