Today’s exhortation – trust Him!

Sometimes we ask God to take us out of an unpleasant situation when all along I believe it’s His will for us to be there. If we were to put ourselves in Joseph’s shoes, my guess is we would say, “God why me? What did I do wrong?” We see that we don’t always suffer because we have done something wrong, we also suffer because we have done the right thing. Joseph had done nothing wrong but found himself a slave in a foreign land. He had to learn a new language and go from being served to serving. Suddenly his whole world was turned upside down through no fault of his and my guess is, he cried most nights and asked God to save him.

We see that God didn’t take him out of Egypt because there was something far bigger than Joseph going on. And it may be for that same reason He’s not taking us out of where we don’t want to be at the moment. As Christians, nothing in our lives is a coincidence. “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way.” (‭Psalms‬ ‭37:23‬). Amen
