Today’s exhortation – disappointment

We’ll face many disappointments throughout our lives and it may be someone we trust or love who lets us down or something in our work or business that didn’t go well or our life not being where we want it to be. There’s no doubt disappointment is not an easy thing to face. Perhaps you or someone you know may be dealing with it right now and as crushing as it may be, things will get better. David went through it too. He said, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.” (‭Psalms‬ ‭42‬:‭5‬).

This is the thing about hope, the bible says, Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬). What’s more, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭17). So keep your head up, you’ll be fine. He will work this too together for your good. Amen
