Prayer Letter 12th August 2016

Hello everyone,

I have returned from Newday and so very many thanks for your Prayers. It has been an amazing time.

Hopefully we will have an update from Soul Survivor and New Wine.

  • I have read with great concern that an officers in Surrey has died, following a battle with cancer, Sgt Adie Lewis. Prayers for his family and also his Colleagues. The Service of Thanksgiving will take place on 26thAugust at Guildford Cathedral.
  • Please continue to pray for the officers and staff who face major change and increased demands as they seek to reduce crime, disorder and suffering across London, and the UK.
  • Please pray for an end to fear and suffering, and a peace to rest upon communities of London who are concerned by recent events around the world.

Five small barley loaves and two small fish, plus God and 5,000 people were fed.

I again read that story, John 6. 1-15,  just before I left for Newday. I have always homed in on the marvel of the miracle, but this time I stayed with the little boy and his lunch. As I drove to Newday and whilst there as the place was built for 7,000 young people; I personally sensed that I had gone with my 5 loaves and 2 fish, which seems nothing in comparison to the need of accommodating so many people and serving them.

Part of my work there was to be the Pastoral Care for the Medical team. I shared my thoughts with them. Perhaps they too felt that they had precious little to give knowing the enormity of the work that they were undertaking.

BUT GOD……………. No matter how lacking you feel in being able to make a difference as you go out as Officers/Staff in Surrey, Sussex and London please remember God is with you. The potential in you is enormous, because of Him.

Please feel free to leave comments below.

May you know His Blessings in all that you are and do.
