Today’s exhortation – every praise
The following story shows that God’s still in the miracle working business and doing what He did 2000 years ago. The bible says, at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. (Acts 16:25-26).
In March 2014, 9-year-old Willie Myrick was outside with his dog when he spotted some money by a tree. When he walked over to pick up the money, he was grabbed and forced into a car. The man drove around for three hours, then stopped suddenly and threw Willie out of the car on the side of a road. According to Willie, the reason the man released him is because he irritated him with gospel music. He sang the gospel song “Every praise” repeatedly until he was set free. He said “He was cursing at me, telling me to shut up, and didn’t want to hear a word from me. He said if I told anyone he would hurt me, like, in a bad way.” Indeed out of the mouths of babes, God has perfected praise. Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honour and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen! (Revelation 7:12). Have a blessed week.
