Today’s exhortation – tomorrow will look after itself

What a marvellous blessing to be alive today. This is a gift from God to us and we ought to say thank you and enjoy it. No matter how hard things are, at least we are alive. If we were dead, we won’t have anything to worry about. This is the day that The Lord has made, we should rejoice and be glad in it. We may celebrate our birthdays annually, but in God’s eyes everyday is cause for celebration. The bible says, And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years: few and evil have been the days of the years of my life… (Genesis 47:9)

I believe Jacob counted his life as days and years because he lived day to day with God. Each day we wake up is an extension of His goodness and mercy. God fed the children of Israel with manna in the wilderness daily and they were prevented to store up any except for the sabbath. Jesus taught us to ask God to give us this day our daily bread and not give us this month our monthly bread. The Lord said, “So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬). I pray that nothing will steal your peace and joy today in Jesus Name. Amen
