Today’s exhortation – Blood of Jesus

A preacher was invited to a TV talk show with some prominent people. One of them, a prominent intellectual announced to the group that he was an atheist. As soon as the show began, the atheist said to the preacher, “Sir you talk a lot about power in the blood of Jesus, but it’s been in the world for 2000 years and things have gotten worse. I don’t believe in it!” The preacher responded, “Sir there’s enough soap is there in the world, but people are still dirty. You can stand next to a soap and still be dirty. You can even work in a soap factory and still be unclean. You need to use it to know it works. Mr, I’ll tell you how soap works, you have to take it in your hand and apply it on your body. If you do, you’ll jump up, stretch out your hands and join hundreds of millions in the world and say there’s power, power, wonder working power in the previous blood of the Lamb. Sir, The blood hasn’t lost it’s power, it’s people who have refused to it!”

The atheist responded, “Sir, you’re different from any other preacher I have spoken to. You’re a professional!” The preacher responded, “No, what you are seeing is a living testimony of the power of the blood of Jesus!” At the end of the show, the atheist went up to the preacher in a car park when no one else was there and said to him, “Bonnke, please pray for me. I need Jesus in my life, I am a sinner.” Folks there’s power in the blood of Jesus. It washes whiter than snow and breaks every bondage. Amen!
