Today’s exhortation – perfect planning

I believe it’s important that we inquire of The Lord concerning our plans. Success or failure rests on knowing His will in the matter. There may be times when He may say “no” for our benefit. When He does, it’s important that we are obedient because it may save us a lot of heartache. When Israel disobeyed God and went into battle, they lost. The bible says, And Moses said, “Now why do you transgress the command of the LORD? For this will not succeed. Do not go up, lest you be defeated by your enemies, for the LORD is not among you… Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who dwelt in that mountain came down and attacked them, and drove them back as far as Hormah. (Numbers 14:41, 45)

On the other hand when He says yes, victory is assured. Here’s an eg The bible says, So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all. ” (I Samuel 30:8). The wisest man to have ever lived put it best, Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5-6‬). Amen
