Today’s exhortation – war in the spirit

I recently had trouble trying to do a job I had done so many times with no problems. I had to deliver it the next day and for some
unknown reason I just couldn’t get it done. I spent the evening praying and trying to do it but was unable to. All the while something kept telling me to give up. I woke up early on the day to pray about it and to try again. I still had a strong urge to give up, but it didn’t sit well with me. Out of nowhere, I felt to pray like this, “I command every demon or evil spirit at work against me to cease now and I command every blockage against my mind to be removed now in Jesus Name!” Within 5 minutes I got a clear head and was able to do what needed to be done.

All along I thought it was my fault, but quite clearly there was more going on than meets the eye. The bible says, For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12). If you’re experiencing something similar to me, have you considered that there are other forces that may be at work against you? The Lord said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬). The Lord has given us authority to take back whatever they take from us so don’t be afraid to use it. Amen
