Today’s exhortation – dark clouds are good

We have all had very difficult times in our lives which can best be described as having dark clouds over us. We also know from experience that the darker the clouds the heavier the rain. What does that mean? I believe it means that darker the troubles, the bigger the blessings that come out of it. It also means that those same difficult times also contain our big blessings. Therefore, let’s be rejoice and be encouraged when the dark clouds come because we know it will only be a matter of time before they let go of their rain.

Also, when the dark troubles come, we often wonder if God is still there because we can’t sense Him or feel His Presence, but just because the dark clouds obscure the sun, doesn’t mean it’s not there. The sun remains still, but clouds are always moving. This means our troubles will move on, but God will always be there. When the clouds finally let go of their rain, the sun breaks through and we see the rainbow, a sign of God’s good promises to us. The rainbow assures us that God is smiling down on us and He hasn’t forgotten His promises to us. Praise The Lord! So we can boldly say to the enemy, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” (Genesis 50:20). Have a good weekend. Amen
