Today’s exhortation – The Lord prays for us

No matter what we are going through and as difficult as it may be, we must know that The Lord Jesus is interceding for us. It may not look like it because of the circumstances but if it weren’t so, they may be much worse. The night before The Lord was crucified, He said to Simon, “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (‭Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭31-32‬). Interestingly, The Lord didn’t pray that Simon shouldn’t be tested, but rather that his strength returns after he had gone through it.

I believe there are times The Lord let’s us go through stuff so that our testimonies and the lessons we learn can be used to help and encourage others who may face similar things. If The Lord hadn’t prayed for him, his strength wouldn’t have returned to be able to strengthen his brethren. As it was for Simon, so it is for us. It’s The Lord Jesus’ prayers for us that have seen us through this far and have given us faith and peace of mind when we should be falling apart. The bible says, He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭25‬). Amen
