Today’s exhortation – let down your net again

Maybe you too have toiled all night, days, months and years praying for something with no results. You lost hope for a while, but suddenly you feel like trying again because this time, something is different. Perhaps it’s The Lord asking you to try again. There was a time when Simon Peter and his crew had toiled all night to catch fish but caught nothing. The bible says, The Lord got into the boat and said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” (‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭4-5‬). The Lord was well aware they had toiled all night, but He still asked them to launch into the deep.

The deep is a place where we have never been before and a place we might have to give every last ounce of strength, but it’s also the place to catch a bounty. The Lord is very well aware how hard you have tried, but it’s a new season! The bible says, And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. (‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭6-7‬). The reward came from Simon’s obedience and taking a risk. It’s my prayer that you take the risk and receive a breakthrough so great you can’t help but share it. Amen
