Today’s Exhortation – our God, Our Father !!
David wrote, “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.” (Psalms 34:3). Magnification is defined as the process of enlarging something only in appearance, not in physical size. We can’t enlarge God, but we can enlarge our estimation of Him. He asks, “To whom will you compare Me? Who is My equal?” (Isaiah 40:25). He’s incomparable, indescribable, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, above all and all in all. He declares, Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine.(Job 41:11). This great God is our Father in heaven!
The bible says, “…God is love.” (I John 4:8). If you see Him for who He is and understand what love is, I believe we will begin to see that we have a Father in Heaven who see’s us differently from how we think He sees us. After creating us, He called us very good and rested from His works. There’s not a moment in time that we are not on His mind. The bible says, How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. (Psalms 139:17, 18). Oh Lord give us a revelation of Your love. Truly your thoughts of us are beautiful. Amen
