Today’s exhortation – wait for your harvest

One day, I complained to The Lord about not seeing any rewards for my giving. Of course that shouldn’t be the objective, but I’m only human. But God was gracious to me. He said “when you give, you are planting a seed. It needs time to grow to bear fruits. He then led me to this occasion in the bible – Cornelius, was a centurion of the Roman army. He was a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. One day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”. And he said… “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. (Acts 10:4). Cornelius’ deeds hadn’t gone unnoticed!

You may have been paying tithe and always giving and have seen no fruit; You may be giving your time and energy to a cause and have nothing to show for it; You may always go out of your way to help others but when it comes to you, well nothing!! The bible says, So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest. (Galatians 6:9 GNT). One doesn’t quit caring for their crops halfway because the fruit is taking too long to come. It will surely come because The Lord says, As long as the world exists, there will be a time for planting and a time for harvest….” (Genesis 8:22). I pray that all your prayers and giving come before God as a memorial today. Have a blessed week and may God bless you. Amen.
