Today’s Exhortation – new creatures
I have visited the burial places of Abraham, David and The Lord Jesus. At both David and Abraham’s tombs, the people there are keen to point out that they are still buried there and aren’t allowed close to them. However at The Lord’s tomb one thing is clear, it’s empty, the door is opened wide and its written on it “He is not here for He is risen.” HALLELUJAH! We serve a living God whose closer to us than we think. Before He died, the disciples experienced Him in His physical presence, but in His resurrection, we get to experience Him by His Holy Spirit. All the things He did when He was present in the flesh, He’s still doing by His Holy Spirit.
The bible says, But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11). That’s telling me that if I’m sick in my body or the doctor’s say my body is dying and I’m a Christian, then I must tap into this word and ask The Lord to quicken my body, give it life and make it whole! This is something to meditate on and seek God for if you need healing or are praying for someone you know who needs this. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3). Amen
