Today’s exhortation – journey of faith

The journey of faith can be a lonely one and it’s easy to get hurt or offended when friends or family forget or leave us to it. We mustn’t feel that way because I believe sometimes we must go through alone! It’s our test and our’s alone to take and having certain people with us may disrupt what God wants to do in us and for us. The bible says, now God tested Abraham and said to him “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (‭Genesis‬ ‭22‬:‭1-2‬). So Abraham went to the place with two of his young men and Isaac his son.

However when they got close to the place, Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder..”(Genesis‬ ‭22‬:‭5‬). Abraham recognised that there was a certain part of the journey that had to be walked alone. If he had taken those young men with him, chances are they would have tried to stop him or talk him out of what he had to do. Undeniably the journey was tough, but Abraham knew God and not even one of His promises had failed! What you may be going through now is a test of your faith and your’s alone. Be strong! Keep your eyes on the God and not the obstacles. God knows where you are and when He has tried you, you will come forth as gold. Amen!
