Today’s exhortation – our children
I would like to encourage all parents to trust that God has His eye on your children. I know we worry about their whereabouts and what they are up to, but if we continue to pray for them, God will do the rest. Reading from yesterday’s exhortation, the bible says Hagar said to herself, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
Both Hagar and the boy were crying but when God spoke to her, He said He had heard the cry of the lad. Now lad indicates that he wasn’t a baby but in his teens, probably 16-17 years old! God also indicated that He knew where the boy was. Our teenage children seem to have grown up so fast these days and we worry about what’s going on in their lives but if we have committed them to The Lord He will look out for them. He knew where the boy was and heard his cry and rescued them on account of the boy’s cry. Another thing to note from this is that our children’s prayers and cries are powerful. Let’s encourage them to pray more. Have a blessed weekend.
