Today’s exhortation – intercession helps!

I believe quite often we don’t think praying for people makes any difference, so we do don’t, but it does. Abraham’s intercession actually saved Lot who had no idea Abraham was praying for him. Much like the people we pray for, Lot was going about his everyday affairs without a clue that disaster was heading his way for his city was about to be destroyed. God revealed His plan about Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham and it enabled him to intercede for Lot and it saved him and his family. The angel went to rescue him and said, “Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (‭Genesis‬ ‭19‬:‭22‬)

I also believe that sometimes when we have an urge to pray for someone, it’s similar to The Lord telling Abraham what was about to happen. It’s His way of communicating to us to pray for someone so He can deliver them. It’s like when something happens we say “I felt something was going to happen or I sensed it!” Well the bible says, Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. (‭Amos‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬). Please don’t stop praying for others because it makes a huge difference. It is written, … pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬). Amen
