Today’s exhortation – mercy not judgement

In my walk with The Lord, I have learnt that when He shows you a problem or character flaw in another person, it’s to pray for them and not to criticise or gossip about them. Also as Christians, when we see doom and gloom, it’s for us to pray to God to bring about a deliverance. The bible says, And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing; And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” (‭Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭17, 20-21‬)

Watch Abraham’s reaction, the bible says, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. And… came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? (‭Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭22-23‬). I believe that was the reaction the Lord wanted from Abraham which is, to plead the cause of the righteous. Abraham was a friend of God and he understood that God desires mercy and not judgement! That’s The Father God’s heart, He loves us all so much and desires that all people are saved. (1 Timothy 2:4). Even now, He seeks a man to stand in the gap so He won’t bring judgement against the people. (Ezekiel 22:30). God bless you
