Today’s exhortation – what should we do with demons? (Biblical healing)

What should we do with demons? Drive them out! Jesus says to us, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew‬ ‭10:8‬). However there are occasions when demons may claim a legal right to remain in a person’s life because of sin or other factors and that’s why the last area of inner healing we are covering is this area. The access we give the enemy allows them to torment us, deceive us, rob us of our joy and peace and a multitude of other blessings, which are our inheritance in Christ Jesus. The bible says, “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬).

The biblical healing areas we covered and are covering are parts of the purification process. Breaking all connections with sins of our fathers; forgiving soul hurts; identifying the lies of the enemy in our lives and replacing them with God’s truths for us (ungodly beliefs vs. Godly beliefs) and three other areas we are yet to cover which are examining ourselves against bitterroot judgements, cleansing ourselves from all vows, inner vows and soul ties and confessing and repenting of all known sins against others. The reason why we do the inner healing before casting out demons is to give us confidence that they can’t have any legal grounds or doors to come back to torment us.
