Today’s exhortation – Happy new Year!

First of all I want to give thanks to God our Father for His goodness, His mercy and grace for bringing us into a new month. May it bring with it prosperity in health and wealth in Jesus Name! I made a commitment this year to remind everyone that they declared that it this year will be a “happy new year.” I believe it’s a powerful declaration we make over ourselves, but as the months roll on, we tend to forget that we said that our year is going to be a happy one. So, as a reminder to everyone, “Happy New Year!” And so shall it be in Jesus Name! In conclusion in dealing with ungodly beliefs (UGBs), the thing we’ve to remember is that, though the legal power of the UGBs are broken, we’ve to keep the doors shut to the old ways. We also have to take control of our thoughts and bring into captivity any that are wrong.

We’ve to pray daily that The Holy Spirit will continues to show us other UGBs to work through. Finally, we’ve to fine-tune the new Godly beliefs so they speak to our heart. There’s an old saying that says “the longest journey a Christian will ever make is the 18 inches from the mind to the heart.” In other words, though we know what the word of God says in our minds, it takes a while to believe them in our hearts. It is also said that it takes 30 days to break a bad habit so we’ll have to repeat the godly beliefs (God’s truths) about ourselves over the next 30 days. It may seem like nothing is happening but after that we’ll see the change take effect.
