Today’s exhortation – we’re still children

In life, a child is not responsible for their upkeep or safety and us children of God neither are we. Whilst we’re still His children, we remain His responsibility for certain aspects of our lives. When we were children, we depended on our parents for food, shelter, clothing, pocket money, healthcare, education; discipline; protection etc. That remains the same with us and our Heavenly Father. No matter how old we get, we’ll forever be His children. As children if were being bullied we told our Fathers and that should still be the case, whether in the work place or in any setting. Most of us believed our fathers were superhuman and could do anything. They weren’t but our Heavenly Father is. He says, “I Am the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27).

The Lord Jesus said, “let the little children come to Me and do not try to stop them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14). Like Jesus did, Our Father rebukes anyone who tries to stop us coming to Him! All those things above that fathers do for their children is what God does for us. If you need protection, go to Daddy, if you need money, ask Him, if you need help doing anything, ask Him. If we believed our fathers will provide, how much more our Heavenly Father? No one can love us better than He can.
