Todays exhortation – United we stand!

If we need help we must ask for it. We mustn’t let pride get in the way because that’s precisely what the enemy wants. He loves to isolate us because we’re easier to dominate or defeat. People have trouble asking for help or prayers because they feel that they’re being a burden, but that’s one of the devil’s weapons against us. He loves to have us think that we’re all alone and no one cares. He also likes us to think that we must fight each battle on our own so he bombards us with thoughts like “don’t let anyone know your business; what’ll people think of you?; You don’t need anyone, you can do it all by yourself.” Sometimes our world may be crashing around us and when we’re asked “how are you?” We say ‘I’m fine,’ even though we are not.

The Bible says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (I Peter‬ ‭5:8‬). If you’ve ever watched lions hunt, they always isolate one animal from a pack and then they pounce on it. Don’t allow yourself to be isolated. God made us to need each other so no matter how strong we think we’re, we will need help! We all know it’s easier to snap a twig than a bunch of twigs. The bible says, “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight…” Leviticus‬ 26:8) United we stand, divided we fall!
