Urgent Prayer appeal for missing officer – Chief Inspector Tim Frohwein – UPDATED 24th November

It is with sadness that we provide you with this update from Derbyshire Police –  24th November 2013

A man’s body found yesterday in the Goyt Valley has been identified as that of missing police officer Tim Frohwein.

Derbyshire Constabulary would like to recognise the efforts of the immediate members of Tim’s family, particularly his sons who organised and co-ordinated searches.

They organised family and friends to search parts of the Goyt Valley that had not yet been formally searched by Derbyshire police and Mountain Rescue teams as part of the structured search process.

Tim was found by friends of the family who had volunteered to help search for him.

They found him on the Grouse Moor and the two men immediately notified officers who were nearby.

Derbyshire Constabulary would like to offer sincere condolences to his family.

It is with sadness that we provide you with this update from Derbyshire Police –  23rd November 2013

Police officers searching for their missing colleague Tim Frohwein have found a body.

The body of a man was discovered by officers at around 1pm today (Saturday, November 23) in the Goyt Valley.

The man has yet to be formally identified but police believe him to be Mr Frohwein, who was reported missing from his Buxton home on Sunday, November 17.

Officers, supported by local Mountain Rescue volunteers, had been searching for the 48-year-old since he was first reported missing.

Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.

Please continue to pray about the situation, and for his family, friends, and colleagues

Urgent Prayer appeal for missing officer – Chief Inspector Tim Frohwein
The following information has been received from Phil Booth, Branch Leader for Derbyshire:
CPA member and serving Chief Inspector, Tim Frohwein, has gone missing.  He was last seen on Sunday afternoon in his home town of  Buxton, Derbyshire.  Whilst the exact details surrounding his disappearance have not been made public (even amongst colleagues), as you would expect, there are serious concerns for Tim.
Tim has been a committed and faithful Christian as long as I have known him.  He had worshipped that morning at the Church he is member of.  Tim is a regular at events we have held in Derbyshire, and has been of great personal support to me in both my career and my CPA leadership role.
I would be grateful if you could lift up Tim in your prayers, along with his family (he has a wife called Lesley and three sons) and colleagues, that all of them may feel the Lord’s peace and guidance during this difficult time.  Also, please pray for the investigation team and Mountain Rescue Volunteers, that the Lord may direct them to find him swiftly.
