The following prayer request has been received from David Knowles, CPA member in Durham.
David’s 16 month old nephew, Athol, has serious problems with one of his eyes, which has caused blindness in that eye. It has been discovered that he has an infection behind the eye. Surgeons are concerned that he might need an operation or go permanently blind in that eye.
Please cover Athol and his parents in prayer, that this problem can be overcome without operating, and that his sight is fully restored.
UPDATE received 15th November 2013
Further to the prayer request circulated above, the following update has been received:
Athol is now under treatment from Leeds Hospital and seeing a consultant there. They are currently unsure of the prognosis, but think he will have minimal vision in one eye for the rest of his life. Continued prayers are appreciated.
UPDATE received 20th November 2013
Further to the last update on the 15th, I have just received the following update on Athol’s progress:
In a real answer to prayer, Athol has dramatically improved over last couple of days, despite the initial prognosis by doctors. His eye appears to be clearing and the vision seems to be slowly returning. It isn’t known, at this stage, the extent of the damage to the back of the eye or if the virus will return.
A big thank you for all the prayer support received over the past few weeks.
Please keep praying for a complete healing for Athol.
