Prayer Request from Tim Mann, MetCPA member

Dear All,

Kevin Vickers (pastor of All Nations Revival Church in Mitcham, Trustee Board Member for Merton Street Pastors, with Rev John Goddard, and big supporter of Merton police through local borough initiatives such as Jeremiah Project, Hope Bus, Merton 316 project and working with our Merton police cadets), had some bad news on 2 July.

His son Jonathan is currently out in Minnesota, USA with his girlfriend, working as Children’s Camp Counsellors on a summer break project. Jonathan was seriously injured in an RTC on 2 July and was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Kevin and his wife flew out to Minnesota late last night, to be with their son and are praying for his recovery. I have been in email contact with Kevin to send all our best wishes and support – he says they’re doing OK, but it’s obviously a tough time.

Can I please ask through our CPA for prayer support and thoughts from colleagues, which would be greatly appreciated by the family.

For anyone who knows Kevin and family, they have set up a Facebook group with updates https://www.facebook.com/JonVickersSupportGroup?hc_location=stream

His opening post late last night as they flew out reads:-

“On Tuesday the 2nd July around 6.30pm Jonathan was involved in a serious car crash in Cook, Minnesota, near the Camp where he is working as a Childrens Camp Counsellor over the summer holidays. He was airlifted with his girlfriend Whitney and Ivanna to Essential Health Care, St Mary’s Hospital, Duluth where he is currently in the neuro trauma intensive care unit. He was in a critical condition when he arrived with head injuries and fractures, but is now stable and the nurses and doctors are looking after him well.

Jane, Sam, Rach and myself are here with him and will keep you all updated through this site. We are totally overwhelmed with the prayers, love and expressions of support from all over the world! We’re also in faith that God will turn this whole thing around for good. Thank you all so much. As a family we feel amazingly upheld and supported by all you guys“
